More BomeBox
We listened to you and improved the BomeBox — while keeping everything you love about the original BomeBox, but with 2x MIDI DIN input and outputs, 2x USB Host ports, and more memory and processing power for your MIDI processing.
And as before, we will provide firmware updates regularly to add more features, especially for more MIDI 2.0 functionality.
What else is new?
- USB-C for power
- USER button with RGB LED that can be assigned various functions, or act as a one-button MIDI controller
Connect to other BomeBoxes, computers, iPads and iPhones and use your MIDI devices with the convenience and stability of Ethernet. Safe and easy with the PAIR button.
For quick configuration or even wireless MIDI connections, use the built-in WLAN.

FAQ
Can I pre-order the BomeBox 2?
At this time, we don’t accept pre-orders. Feel free to subscribe to our newsletter so that you will notified when we offer pre-orders, and when the BomeBox 2 is available for purchase.
Can I use the multiple MIDI DIN ports to merge MIDI traffic? Or to use it as a MIDI Thru box? And additionally merge or duplicate MIDI streams from USB-MIDI devices, and from devices connected via network?
Yes, all of the above!
Will you still work on firmware updates for the BomeBox 1 ?
Yes.
Do you have an upgrade program for owners of the BomeBox 1?
Of course, the original BomeBox can still be used as before, and it is not possible to upgrade it directly. However, we plan a limited replacement program for BomeBox 1 owners who would like to replace their BomeBox 1 for a BomeBox 2. We still need to figure out the details. Probably we will give credit towards the purchase of a BomeBox 2 based on the condition of your BomeBox 1. This program will start when we actually have the first BomeBox 2 units in stock.
Can you still daisy chain Power over Ethernet?
Both Ethernet ports in the BomeBox 2 are “PoE In”, so they can both be used for powering the BomeBox. Consequently, you cannot power another BomeBoxes via a “PoE Out” port anymore.
When will the BomeBox 2 be available?
We’re currently finalizing the last technical details and need to go through FCC certification before we can ramp up production. We hope to have the first batch in late spring or early summer 2026.
