Here’s version 5. (deleted, look for later version)

– Adds double tap to reset the fader. (Thank Steve for the great help)

These forums need work, I cannot attach anything while editing a post.

OK you originally had

if ga==1 then exit rules, skip outgoing action

if ga==2 then gb=4480

ga=0

The issue is there if you skip the outgoing action, then ga never gets set back to zero from when it was incremented from your Fader D Tap Timer Translator.

If you tap once you want nothing to happen but you also want to set ga back to zero. This is how I handled it

// Store to a temporary variable for testing

pp=ga

//Reset ga if 1

if pp==1 then ga=0

// Now lets bypass output

if pp==1 then exit rules, skip outgoing action

if pp==2 then gb=4800

ga=0

Give it a try

Ah that worked wonders. Thank you so much.

I’ll post the project now.

I could have probably simplified the rules even more pp=ga ga=0 if pp==1 then exit rules, skip outgoing action if pp==2 then gb=4880 Essentially every time the timer trips, you set the counter ga back to zero but first you have to capture it in a local variable for testing. Steve

Here’s the very latest with the fader on double tap reset working, I just want it do not send anything with just one tap and send a message only on double tap. (fader touch sensor)

Look in the FADER RESET translator.

Thank you! :D

Hi Sacco,

If you post your latest project file here I can probably fix it.

You will have to post as an answer as comments do not allow posting attachments.

So I could make it work for the most part.

I have this on my fader reset rules:

if ga==1 then
if ga==2 then gb=4880 (pitch value corresponding to 0dB  in the fader)
ga=0

I can confirm I can use one or two taps by setting the first line to \"if ga==1 then gb=0\" so one tap sends the fader to the center, and double tap sends the fader to the 0dB point.

I want nothing to occur if I click once, only if I double click. Currently is sending the same value as in the second line just by one tap which I don’t want to occur. (interferes with the fader as I move it)

BTW: If I use the quotes symbol the forums adds a slash before each.

Used: if ga==1 then exit rules, skip Outgoing Action if ga==2 then gb=4880 ga=0 But if I click once the fader still moves (the trigger still occurs) Also used: if ga==1 then skip next rule if ga==2 then gb=4880 ga=0 But still, the fader moves if I tap once.

Oh….I made the double tap part to work. It was a ports thing. Woho!

Now I need to find a way to send the right value to the fader.

Thank you!

Here’s a beta of my current work as discussed on the old forums:

Translators: FADER TAP TIMER and FADER RESET

I can trigger the timer manually although I cannot make the fader reset to the default 0dB position yet, only min or max. Communication is ok between the trigger and reset translators so at least that’s working

I can’t trigger it by hitting the touch sensor twice, (measured by poly pressure = 01)..don’t know why yet.

I can’t figure out why he used ga as global variable, where is ga getting his value from, I’m guessing ga=ga+1 but still, I’m not versed on this so I don’t know why he uses ga while the receiver message is being used as pp.

Anyway, I think also that video relates to something different than what I need so I shouldn’t take those rules to the letter.
