Outgoing Velocity question

Hello, quick newbie question here. In Outgoing the velocity is set to 127, but I want the velocity to be whatever it actually is and not assigned. How can I have this happen? Thanks so much!

Hi, and welcome!

On the input for the translator, you can assign the velocity a variable by selecting any velocity and setting it to a local variable (such as qq).

The on output, just assign the outgoing velocity to the same variable (in this case qq).

If you want to alter the velocity, you can just use any of the standard math function within rules to alter the value of qq.

If you want more information on variable types, their naming conventions etc, just push F1 while in MIDI Translator Pro and a PDF version of the manual will open up.

Feel free to ask any questions if something in the manual seems confusing to you.

Enjoy using Bome MIDI translator!
