I would like to use a Novation Launchpad in combination with an AKAI APCmini, they both use MIDI channel 1 and therefore the buttons overlap.
Context: I want to use both independently, to control the lightning software “Daslight”.
I found this https://www.bome.com/support/kb/2x-akai-professional-apc-mini-on-one-computer which worked, but only with buttons and not with faders and there was a glich where the overlapping buttons on the Launchpad would flash orange when pressed on the APCmini.
My prefered solution would be to change the MIDI channel of the AKAI APCmini to channel 2 with MIDI Translator Pro and being able to control the LEDs with the “MIDI out” feature within Daslight would be nice.
I would really appreciate if someone could help me, I’ve been trying to find a solution for the last 5 hours.

Note since I don’t have any default routing, Sysex will not get through. If you want these messages to get through you need to draw lines between the inputs and output on the MIDI routing section of the project screen.
Hi, The below file should work. I have the following ports defined
From APC MINI
To APC MINI
The following 3 presets define the routing
APC MINI to Daslit
Launchpad to Daslit
Daslit to APC MINI
Daslit to Launchpad
In each preset I have defined 3 raw midi messages (1 byte 2 byte and 3 byte)
I look at the first byte to determine the incoming channel.
On APC-MINI to Daslit – I use rules to Map MIDI CH1 from APCMIN to MIDI CH2 on Daslit
On Launchpad to Daslit – I just pass the messages through using MIDI CH1
On Daslite to APC-MINI – I use rules to map outgoing of DASLIT MIDI CH2 to APC-MIN MIDI CH 1 since that is what it expects
On Daslit to Launchpad – I just pas through the Mapping
Let me know if you have any further questions.

My pleasure! I’m actually pretty surprised I got it right the first time. I suggest you look at the rules so you can learn how this is done in case you want to make changes in the future.
