MT player Errors when Translator pro has none on the same file.

  • MT player Errors when Translator pro has none on the same file.

So I can run my program fine through the Bome MIDI translator pro (Trial). It works perfect and exactly as i want it to run. Close the Translator program and open MT player Demo, Load my file that has just been signed by the SignTool and I get error messages on every preset that is like this:

Error while loading preset ‘-===C3===- (1)’, Translator ‘New Translator1’:
Incoming Action corrupt or not supported: MID3

And now it wont work when keys are pressed. I just need a direction to head to look to find out exactly what is causing the problem. I really like this software and am seriously considering it I have a file that needs to be sent along with the player to someone and don’t want them to have to use the translator pro to check out the project as they could have the opportunity to copy my presets and change things.

Hi, thanks for reporting, and my sincere apologies for this problem. The posted MT Player is very old, and as such, does not support many recent features of MT Pro.

Please note that the MT Player for download is only a demo and serves as proof of concept for the OEM version. We will update it eventually…

If you’re considering licensing an OEM version of the MT Player, please contact me directly:
Licensed OEM versions of the MT Player always use the full MT Pro feature set.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

So, If I purchase the Translator Pro do i get use of the MT player pro or are they separate? It’s only a 1 time thing that I would need the player to play the file I created, If the project pans out I will defiantly need the full version of MIDI translator and MT player.

Could I just buy a license for the MT Player OEM only, or is it bundled?

I’m just weighing my options before I commit to a purchase.

Hi, at this moment, MIDI Translator Pro is the only option which you can purchase. It does not come with the player. (we used to have this as an option, but nobody purchased it). The only licensing we currently offer for the player is a custom MT Player with redistribution license. It typically costs a 3-digit setup fee plus royalties for the redistribution license. So this does not seem to be a good option for you!

Having said that, and if the trial version will not work for you, please contact me directly. I think we can solve this with some kind of temporary license of MT Pro.

Hi Florian, that would be perfect. I also replied to your email with a bit more detail. Thanks Jared
