Would it be possible to have Bome's MIDI Translator Pro swallow keyboard input? I would like to my number pad to output MIDI notes, but since the number pad keys have functions in my DAW it does not work right. Would it also be possible to implement mouse input (that can be swallowed) as well?

Bome MIDI Translator Pro does not support swallowing/suppressing incoming keystrokes. If you are on Windows, you could look into AutoHotkey. On Mac, you might want to look at Keyboard Maestro.
If you are interested in converting mouse to MIDI or keystrokes, you can check into MIDIBuddy.
