Problem keystroke out Mac OS

Hi everybody,

I hope you are doing well.
I am trying to use a Arturia Beatstep Pro to manage Capture One for my photography work.
I authorize the accessibility access to Bome Midi app in my settings. And I am running the application with Admin privileges.

However I got a problem. I think I have set correctly my Arturia midi.
Bome receive the signal fine from the midi in but it don’t send any in the keystroke out.
I don’t know why. I put 500ms in delay to be sure that the signal is send properly.

This is why I got in the log window when I press the midi pad in Bome :

11733386 – MIDI IN [Arturia BeatStep Pro Arturia BeatStepPro]: B0 2C 01
11733386 – IN 0.0 Control Change on ch. 1 with CC#:44 (0x2C) and value:1 (0x01)
11733460 – MIDI IN [Arturia BeatStep Pro Arturia BeatStepPro]: B0 2C 00
11733460 – MIDI OUT [Bome MIDI Translator 1 Virtual Out]: B0 2C 00
11733886 – OUT 0.0 Command(Z) : keystroke suppressed (main window active)

——-

And this is when I try to use the key in the application, I got an error.
I know it’s possible to use Bome with Capture one, somebody did already on a Windows but I didn’t find any clue for Mac OS X user.

11738729 – MIDI IN [Arturia BeatStep Pro Arturia BeatStepPro]: B0 2C 01
11738729 – IN 0.0 Control Change on ch. 1 with CC#:44 (0x2C) and value:1 (0x01)
11738797 – MIDI IN [Arturia BeatStep Pro Arturia BeatStepPro]: B0 2C 00
11738797 – MIDI OUT [Bome MIDI Translator 1 Virtual Out]: B0 2C 00
11739232 – OUT 0.0 Error: Command(Z)

In the event monitor when I press the midi pad the signal IN is ok but the Keystroke Out isn’t receiving any signals.

I will put the project in the attaches files.
I don’t know why It’s not working.

And the signal is not working with other applications too, It’s like Bome cannot use the keystroke out.

Any ideas on this ?

Thanks a lot.

Jory

Hi,

The first message indicates that your active Window was Bome MIDI Translator when you send MIDI so they keystroke was suppressed.

The second message, should work if Capture One was you active application (Window). If not, it may have produced this error message depending on which application was active at the time.

I’ve never used Capture One on a Mac, however if you still have some issues, you might need to generate the keystroke to the target application using the AppleScript capabilities of Bome MIDI Translator Pro.

It might look something like this:

tell application “Capture One”

activate

tell application “System Events”

key code 6 using command key down

end tell

end tell

Something like that.
