Map 2 USB Midi Devices to one virtual

Hi everyone,

as windows recognices different USB Devices, even if they use the same driver and are the same type of device, as different hardware, I´m searching for a way to merge 2 Midi Interface to one virtual device. I need to do that mainly because of redundancy purposes. There is one device installed fixed in my stage rig and one at home for configuration and rehearsal. So now I have the problem that everything I configured with the stagerig doesn´t work at home and vice versa. MacOS seems to have a function for that coming with the operating system but I´m using windows here.

Is your MIDI Translator Pro able to provide that?

Many thanks and regards

Christian

Btw.: The software I am using is Gig Performer, which is actually a fierce piece of software for a keyboard player. But there are a few practical things like that, which prevent me from going on with that solution.

Hi, yes, as you said you found on YouTube so that is good. It is quite easy. You simply use MT pro and take your real 2 input devices and set up routing to go to the same virtual output port.

You then take a virtual input port and set up routes to go to the two separate output devices.

Let us know if you have any further questions.
