Hi! My name is Yaroslav. I need your help. I have clearly completed all the setup instructions https://phodograf.com/controller-1/ But unfortunately, C1 does not see my Midi Fighter Twister. What am I doing wrong? Can I get clear instructions for connecting my device? Please help me please!

Steve it’s working finally)! Thank you very much! The last question. As you maybe know Midi Fighter Twister have 16 encoders with  button on every knob. How I can program commands for these buttons using Bome MIDI Translator ?

Yes and it has 4 banks. You will need to use the MIDI FIghter utility to program all of the knobs (4 banks x 16 knobs is 64 encocders). Have each encoder put out a different message. I recommend that if your knobs encoders need to be relative like the first one, you should use Enc/Dec for each.

I would recommend all encoders to be MIDI channel 1. Encoders on first bank from top left to bottom right
cc 0-15. Then second bank 16-31. Third bank 32-47 , forth bank 48-63

Talk to DJ Tech Tools if you need help in programming your MFT. I think the latest release has a bug that doesn’t allow bulk programming.

In MT Pro, just copy existing translators changing each of the input values to match how you programmed your MFT, then change the outputs of each to What C1 expect to see in the way of keystrokes.

I have used another key shortcuts in C1 and repeat them in the Bome MIDI Translator (screenshot). But C1 still does not respond. Where can the problem be?

Dear  Steve! Thank you, it’s almost working! Now I see that my  Bome MIDI Translator Project is fine and setting of  MF Utility is fine too. Now many programs can run my commands ”+” and  ”-”. I added one sample here. But unfortunately С1 doesn’t respond to my Midi Fighter Twister. I have added screenshot of C1 setting also. Steve, where can be the last problem ?

My guess is that Add and Subtract are the keys on your Number Pad, Not the ones on your main keyboard section. So you should use NUM+ and Num- in MIDI you MT Pro project (or change the keystrokes to something else in C1 and use those instead)

Set up MFT knob as shown on below screenshot. It should work with your latest project file.

Thanks for the answer! Here is my modified profile, I added it to the letter.

I also add 2 screenshots  from my MF Utility. Tell me please what kind of changes I should make there? Thank you very much!

OK,  your incoming triggers need to change. For exposure + set Ch1 CC0 and value  65.

For exposure = set Ch1 CC0 and value 63

Then using your MF Utility set The knob that you programmed to send CC0 CH1 relative values.

Right now the two translators are fighting eachother the first one sends Num+ and the second one immediately sets Num- because they are both triggered to fire an “ANY” value.

Hi Yaroslav,

I didn’t look at the link but your input has to come from your MIDI Fighter Twister device.  Capture One needs to have mouse focus when you are sending keystrokes.  If Bome MT Pro has focus, then outgoing keystrokes are suppressed. Is this what you are doing?

That’s what I did: 1. I have created my own keyboard shortcuts in C1 2. Then for current Channel I repeat these shortcuts in Key Stroke of Outgoing 3. Set Midi Input – Midi Fighter Twister 4. Set Output Microsoft Midi Mapper Could you explain more about mouse focus of Capture One? I didn’t do it.

Can I send you Bome MIDI Translator Project (.bmtp) for checking?

Yes, go ahead and post the project file or send via email. Your MIDI output should not matter as Capture One does not understand MIDI. It will only understand keystrokes. However the Capture One application will need to have focus to recognize the incoming keystrokes.
