I was just wondering if there is a way to choose physical keys between two different USB keyboards in BMP so that I can use one keyboard as regular text entry and the other as a controller?

I haven’t got the second keyboard attached at the minute, but the question just came to me. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Tom

I don’t think so as there is no way in BMT to specify a given keyboard in a translator configuration,  I would suggest you get a low cost midi keyboard for notes and use the computer keyboard for text .

Thanks, Steve, but as it’s not for a musical application, the musical keyboard won’t be as handy. I think I found my answer, however – I’m going to try and make one of them an ”upper case keyboard” so that Bome can recognise commands sent with the caps lock key on, as it were. Hopefully this and a combination of Bome and Hotkeys will allow me to do what I want.

OK, good luck! Interesting that I’m finding more and more midi uses that actually are not considered musical applications. Would be interesting to know what you are doing.

I’m another one of the MIDI controlled lighting guys (MA dot2)! There seem to be quite a few of us thanks to people like Christian Jackson mentioning Bome on his YouTube channel.
