Bome & OBS Studio – ever going to work?

I’m using Bome to set up MIDI pads to trigger hotkeys for OBS Studio. However, the triggers only seem to work when I have the OBS Studio window selected. Obviously, this is inconvenient because I can’t have OBS Studio selected the entire time I’m streaming.

Here’s a list of some stuff I’ve tried:
Run both Bome and OBS Studio normally = triggers didn’t work
Run Bome as admin and OBS Studio normally = triggers didn’t work
Run Bome normally and OBS Studio as admin = triggers didn’t work
Run both Bome and OBS Studio as admin = triggers didn’t work

Once again, if I have OBS Studio selected, the triggers work, and if I manually type in the hotkeys, they work regardless of what window is selected – which leads me to believe the problem lies in the relationship between Bome and OBS Studio.

Has anyone had any luck with this/have any advice?

Do you have an example project file you can attach and a description on one or two translators you’ve tried?
What platform Operating System and version are you running.

I tried it on Windows 10 with the OBS Studio screen minimized. I used injected keystroke (which is available only on Windows) and it worked. My outgoing events were F1 for start recordng and F2 for Stop recording.

You will likely only be able to do this when OBS is minimized if using injected keystroke events for output.

I hope this helps!

OK, it may show different on your system. I used the Capture feature of MT Pro to determine the target control identifier.
1) in MT Pro select Windows Inject event
2) Select with Mous Capture
3) In OBS Studio select with mouse the associated control (Controls) (green outline around it)

this might be a dumb question but what is MT Pro?
