Hi, and welcome to the Bome Q&A board!

You can find most of what you want in the BMT manual, but in general life of double character variables (ie oo pp qq etc), have a life within that given event. If two translators share the same incoming event, they are shared across those events.

Variables souch as ga gb g1 h1 h2 etc, are global and are seen by all transaltors.

Typically if you can do what you are trying to accomplish within a local variable it is good as it reduces the chance of collisions and your overhead to track all your variables.

If the variable needs to be shared across events it has to be global.

You can get to the BMT manual by clicking Help within Bome Midi Translator pro.
