Hi,

Does anyone on the groups have experience setting-up MT to control ACDSee photo software?

Any tips gratefully received.

Best regards,

Thanks for this.
So, is MT only able to access the controls that can have-/do have keyboard shortcuts assigned to them?
These particular ones I’m thinking of don’t. But there are many others in the app

Best regards

Not exactly. MT Pro can also send mouse movement and mouse clicks to the application, however it is a bit tricker as the screen positions need to be precise. For instance, you need to tell Bome what coordinates to find a control before you can use it to move the mouse to that location.

Keyboard shortcuts usually don’t care where the coordinates are and will work as long as the application has active focus.

If you search “lumetri” on this forum, you will find users that were able to use mouse clicks to adjust various parameters in Adobe Premier.

Hi, I’m not familiar with ACDSee, so I don’t know if it supports MIDI input. With that said, MT Pro has been found to work with other photo editing software very well, especially if the software supports the use of keyboard shortcuts.  You can use Bome MIDI Translator to translate incoming MIDI messages from a controller to outgoing keystrokes and often photo editing software will assign certain hotkeys for things like zoom, contrast, etc. So it is a matter off mapping the MIDI to the desired key function and then making sure the editing software is the active and in focus window when using your MIDI controller.

If you search this forum for CaptureOne, you should be able to find some good examples.

I hope this helps!
