Software synthesizers always have a slight delay. You can reduce that, sometimes to be barely audible, but it depends on the software, your soundcard and your processor how much it can be reduced.

In Cubase preferences, you should be able to set the "latency" or "buffer size" of the audio device. Reduce it. Depending on your system, very low values may cause stuttering of the sound. Just try until you find the best setting.

I don't have a copy installed right now, you may need to search for this option, it should be next to where you can choose the audio devices/soundcards.

Let us know if you found it and corrected it!

Hi.

I've been having a bit of a problem with this too. It isn't ACTUALLY causing a delay in the recording - but when playing back there's an awful delay. It's really frustrating. The actual track ends up sounding rather different from what I hear even with the delay. I'm not sure what's going on.

hmm, we still don't get such delay. Maybe try on a Cubase forum?
