A very practical issue using joystick

The most obvious use for a joystick is surely for pitch and modulation, but unless I'm missing something, this is basically impossible for the latter due to the fact that the modulation is reset to 63 (center) rather than 0 when you let go of the joystick.

Is there maybe some workaround for this? I was really excited about getting this working but after many hours of trying I have come to the conclusion that it is impossible--at least with any of the controllers I have--to make half an axis behave as a full axis.

Thanks

Hi,

indeed, I think in Mouse Keyboard that's impossible. You can route Mouse Keyboards MIDI OUT to Bome's Midi TRanslator. There, it's possible to map the joystick's MIDI data (as coming from the mouse keyboard) to something more sensible.
