Howdy,
I'm in need of some very basic BMT setup help. I'm trying to do some very basic MIDI translation and am getting stuck at the part where MIDI Translator sends the translated data to my DAW. Rather than explain what I'm setting up on my own, I'll describe what I'm seeing with relation to the 'Ableton Live 7 Drumpad 4x4' preset that comes with BMT.
I load the preset.
I press one of the mapped keys
I observe the actions taken in the Log Window
It appears to be operating correctly:
From here though, I cannot get any of Ableton, Reaper or MIDI Monitor to see this MIDI data. I have the preset output ports set to "Bome's Midi Translator 1 Virtual Out" and have enabled this port in all three applications. At this point I suspect that either there is something wrong with the virtual MIDI port installation or else there is a larger lack of knowledge on my own part as to how this stuff all works (there is definitely a lack of knowledge, it's only the extent that is in question here).
So, where might I start to trouble shoot this?
