Global Variables, what are they constrained to?

Yes, i am new, but also old :)
I tried to understand the manual, but could not, so clarification is needed.
Is the concept of the preset indeed the 'Globe' within which this type of variable resides & are confined?
Am I wrong in thinking that the project is a level globals will work upto?

Are Global Variables confined to only working within and around the translators within a single preset...
OR...
Can they be referenced & worked with, by any other translator of Any other preset?
Example:
Preset A, has a Translator M, that had a Rule created global variable of g0=1,
Can the Translator Z, that sits in Preset U, work with that very same g0?

Okay, Ive found the answer. Thank you DvlsAdvct.

"Global variables, ..., are saved as changes (&) are triggered across translators and presets."
