Hi,
Is it possible to send a message from a midi device to bome's virtual out and then back to bome's virtual in without using midiox-midiyoke?

Hi Sakis.

Yes it is. You just need to use the Bome Virtual Ins and Outs the same way you would use MIDIYoke.

I am doing something wrong maybe....could you check a test file I made?
I send "B0 09 pp" from a controller to "B0 0D pp" on Bome's port
then on the second translator I wait for "B0 0D pp" on Bome's in to translated to "B0 0A pp" out on Yoke 1.
It only works if I use midiox to capture bome's in and send it to bome's out...

Hi sakis

It looks like your second translator is receiving from two BMT Virtual Ports. What I would recommend is setting the first translator to send to BMT Virtual Port 1 Output and set the second translator to receive from BMT Virtual Port 2 Input only. Make sense? If that doesn't work we can try something else.

something is not working correctly...instead of trying to explain I made a video which also refers to another problem I have
http://www.bome.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3820

I upload it to filefactory since it's way too large

I'll take a look at the video when I get home tonight. I know the issue you're having and I'm having the same issue. I'll raise it directly with Florian.

Hi, I checked out the video, but I don't understand the issue. Note that Bome's virtual ports a re a bit different than Yoke. You can check out the user manual to read the details...

Thanks,

Well,I tried to send data to MT virtual port out and wanted to feedback it to MT virtual port IN but without using any other app to route bome's out to in.

Ah I see. Bome's virtual ports always have one end in MT, and one end in a different software.

E.g.:
MT -> Bome's Virtual 1 -> Ableton Live
or
Cubase -> Bome's Virtual 1 -> MT

But you cannot do MT->Bome's Virtual->MT or Live->Bome's Virtual->Cubase.

They're optimized to NOT do a loopback, but go directly from MT to application and vice versa.
