I'd like to purchase this software, but if it's not gonna open my APC40 in the MIDI port, it does me no good. I kno memory is not an issue w/ my machine.
Also, would Bome's MIDI Translator be considered comparable to Max4Live? I'm so lost right now.

This message can occur if you have a MIDI 'feedback-loop' happening. Do you have other MIDI capable programs running at the same time, or running before you start up MT?
As for Max4Live, it has many more 'back-door' control into Ableton Live, but it is not as powerful and simple as MT in terms of MIDI control. With my experience, Max4Live cannot handle large amounts of MIDI messages and can be troublesome. It all depends on what you are trying to accomplish...
