ableton manipulate effects

hi, i will to know how to program in ableton a filter on or off. I understand to program to keystroke, but how can i select for example the "kill low" button in ableton and than assign it to a knob on my controller. Is there a way to click something in ableton and read it in Midi Translator ans so to de midi controller?

I'm trying to work this out myself mate . Keystrokes were no problem but this has me stuck now.
I've opened afew of the included presets that come with MT, (mainly the one for a drumpad in ableton). It seems to be just sending out midi messages but I can't figure out how to get these for ableton.
I can't find any documentation on it either.

Are you able to get Ableton in 'MIDI Mode'? You should be able to map most controls there... If not, your stuck, need to write some crazy Python scripts or something.

yes, midi mode works well. But i want to do things that ableton not allowed. I found the only option is to use the APC 40 or something like. I can't writing in Python
