transport control problem

Hi,

Something has started going wrong the transport controls on my akai mpd32.
Whenever I press the play button and try to capture midi, I get an endless stream of entries that say f8 and keep on coming. Also next to where it says "midi message trigger" it says "timing clock".

I've tried changing the transport controls mode using MMC, midi, mmc/midi, ctrl but this doesn't help.

Any ideas?

..also I've just noticed that "midi time code" lights up & stays on in bomes when I press this button.

DO you think this might be a fault with my mpd32 or might it just be a setting that I've unknowingly switched to?

I've reset my mpd32 to its factory settings and everything seems ok now.
