Hi, it seems an obvious question but i want to make sure Im considering getting Bomes and am wondering if i could control my external effects processor with an external computer keypad. This would make it so i dont need to buy a super portable midi foot controllor. Thanks Alot

Sure, you can do that if you have an external MIDI interface for your computer. Or, is your external effects processor a USB device?

if you mean using a "qwerty" or numerical key pad (789, ...), then yes:
on Windows, the "Incoming Keystroke Action" is available for a long time, and for OS X it has just been released in a beta version:

(Leopard and later)

Just create your keystrokes in the Incoming Actions, and define the MIDI messages for controlling your effects processor -- as long as that is controllable via MIDI. You *could* also emulate keystrokes for controlling the effects processor.
