MT workaround for Traktor Midi Out Lags

Hi!

I've been given advice to try Bome's Midi Translator to solve my major midi problems in traktor.

Trying to control Traktor Pro with the Akai APC40 I got this mapping: http://www.sendspace.com/file/of5ckz which has great functionality.
The problem however is, every time I release a button, I have a short dropout in audio playback :( . This - I was told - lies within the way Traktor or even Windows itself handles midi out controller messages.
I tried MidiYoke between Traktor and the APC40 and Drew's fix (DJTT Forum), but the dropouts remained.

Is there a way to use Bome's Midi Translator in order to get this thing working without dropouts, and if yes: Do I need to change the mapping or just set die MT in between Traktor and the APC Controller?

Thank you very much in advance,
Best regards,
Chris

I'm not so sure that the MIDI can damage the audio like this...

What version of Traktor are you using?
What soundcard are you using?
What OS are you using?

Have you tried just raising your Audio latency settings?

cheers,
Scott

Hey dude you need to get this http://www.mediafire.com/?7oxwcfyuipfw1u6 it's a Max Standalone Patch that a guy made called Str8updrw. i'm guessing your on PC and you are getting the audio glitches, the reason for this is the Send Monitor State's on Windows are for some reason glitchy, if you have MIDIYoke or another virtual midi cable installed then you route your APC in the bottom boxes marked Controller and To traktor on MidiYoke 1 and from Traktor on MIDIYoke 2 then go back to Traktor and route the controller manager in from MidiYoke 1 and out to Midi yoke 2, Voila no more audio glitches from your apc release buttons.

My traktor Mapping is here:

Using this already in the TSI routing and not with your APC in Dumb Mode (don't open ableton at all) there are banks of knobs on the bottom right by changing Track selection, one problem i have found when loading the TSI, if you search in controller for Effect 1,2,3 Selects on FX3 and FX1 they will all reset to the wrong FX, they should be FX1 P92 Filter, FX3 Delay, Flanger, Gater) this affects the state 5 knobs that are macro's and the subsequent reset button placed on the matrix. trying not to give you a headache here.

I've just got Bomes in order to run Ableton and Traktor together with handshake in place and all that, but this should solve your immediate issue. if you want to use Bomes in the future then just replace the contoller input/output in the max patch with Bomes Virtual I/O's and then connect your APC to Bomes that's what i am doing and it works through 2 sperate sets of MidiYoke's (1/2 Ableton 3/4 Traktor) i haven't yet written anything to seperate them but i have run them solo to check i get functionality.
