Using MT Pro and MT Player at the same time

Hi,

I have MT Pro and am using MT Player for the NativeKontrol APC40 presets. I want to introduce some of my own functionality using MT Pro.

How can I organise things so that I can use MT Player and MT Pro at the same time.

I don't think it is possible, because they both use the same virtual MIDI ports.

Why do you want to use both together? MT Player is designed to use your Presets without MT Pro.

What about routing the signal path serially.

Eg: midi controller ---> MT Player --> MT Pro. -->. Ableton Live


I think it must be possible.

MT player only plays someone elses presets. MTPro allows me to add myown control. Having both means I don't have to replicate what I already have in MT Player.

Are you using somebody else's preset? You should be able to open that in MT Pro unless it is encrypted (.bmte).

I will speak with Florian, but I do not think there is a way to do...

you should be able to chain MT instances -- be it MT Pro or some sort of a player. They use different virtual ports. It's the same as running DaRouter and MT Pro at the same time. You can also start multiple instances of MT Pro and connect them via virtual ports.
