How to use an x-y midi pad with the translator

Hi. I use the mac version of the midi translator and I'm just starting to delve into this mess that is midi control and translation. I have a korg nano pad and would like to use that touch pad to select from a color chart in my VJ program instead of using a mouse. Can someone let me know the steps or point me to the right document for explaining how I might go about doing this? Much thanks!

Hi soundcolor,

first of all, the mac version has not the mouse outgoing action yet. This feature will follow in the next weeks...

Another user tried this and he can't get it to work nice. The problem is, that the touch pad of nano control sends MIDI and you have only 127 different values. So, how to control the mouse smoothly within 1280*1020 pixels?

Best regards,

Hi soundcolor!

If you look at the incoming values from the x-y pad on your nanoKontrol in MT, does it not send the MIDI data in one direction (x) on one channel, and the other direction (y) on another MIDI channel?

If so, we can take it from there...
