Switching midi ports on the fly with bomes?

Hey all, I'm not sure if this is possible with bomes
I can't seem to figure out how I would do this.

I have a midi controller that I want to process the output of its
midi in Bomes. I also have a max patch that I want to run simultaneously
to process the midi from the midi controller as well.

However I would not use both functions of Bomes and Max at the same time
I would like to be able to toggle between them.

My thinking was that I would:

Send midi to bomes from my controller

midi from bomes to ableton

and midi from bomes to max.

and midi from max to ableton

I then want to be able to push a button
combination to trigger which ports in bomes
are active. Essentially toggling between
the max processing or the bomes processing.

I think it's possible but I'm having a hard time
visualizing the logistics.

Any help is much appreciated.

You should be able to to this by first creating an [always on] preset in Bomes MT, which would then house your control translators for switching around different presets.

After that, create separate presets for each of your hookups. MT presets can have their own separate default incoming and outgoing midi ports specified. Create one that sends from your controller to Abelton and one that sends to Max, and switch them on and off with your [always on] preset.

Check out the presets section of the manual for some more info. Bomes v1.7 is a little different with the [always on] preset, but not much. Right click your preset and click 'properties' and it's a setting there instead of in the program menu.
