Routing MIDI remote (feedback) messages in MTPro

Is it possible to route remote info (from Ableton Live) back through MTPro and to the controller?
I have a BCR2000 with LEDs for knob-positions. Haven't figured out how to best route feedback info yet.

If I try to open the BCR2000 in MIDI Output Ports, I get "Cannot open MIDI output device 'xxxx': Undefined external error."

Max.

Hi,

the error message you're seeing is usually due to exclusivity of MIDI ports: you can only open a particular MIDI port in ONE application at a time. So close the BCR2000 port in all other applications before opening it.

If you want to process the remote info MIDI message from Ableton before sending it on to the BCR 2000, you'll run into the current limitation of MT Pro: it only supports one MIDI IN and one MIDI OUT. To get around that limitation, you can start a second instance of MT Pro:

MT Pro 1 MIDI IN: BCR2000
MT Pro 1 MIDI OUT: virtual port 1 (to Ableton)

Ableton MIDI IN: virtual port 1 (from MT 1)
Ableton MIDI OUT: virtual port 2 (to MT 2)

MT Pro 2: MIDI IN: virtual port 2
MT Pro 2: MIDI OUT: BCR2000

For running multiple instances, see this:

Hope that helps!

PS: the next version MT Pro 1.7 will support multiple MIDI ports in one instance
