i want to use one of my MPD32 buttons as the keystroke "CTRL-Z" to undo certain things in my DAW FL Studio..
now when i start the Midi Translator, it somehow blocks my MPD from being used as a midi controller in FL Studio..
the other way round it is the same: if i start FL Studio first, and then start the Midi Translator it says "Cannot open MIDI input device (...)"
it seems, that i can use my mpd with only one application at a time..

how can i solve this problem?

Thx in advance for answers!!

Hi,

on Windows, MIDI INPUT ports are typically exclusive, i.e. only one program can access any given port.

Now if you want the MIDI data to be filtered by Midi Translator (MT), you will need a virtual MIDI port (see Setup Section). Now use it like this:

MT MIDI IN: MPD32
MT MIDI OUT: Virtual Port 1

FL Studio MIDI IN: Virtual Port 1

Make sure to enable "MIDI Thru" in MT's option menu.

Hope that helps!
