Hello,

When trying to set my MIDI IN port and MIDI OUT port, some of the ports are missing. I have 4 midi interfaces hooked up to my Mac:

1. RME Multiface: 1 IN port, 1 OUT port
2. M-audio Radium 49: 1 IN port, 1 OUT port
3. M-audio Keystation Pro 88: 2 IN ports, 1 OUT port
4. Emagic AMT8: 8 IN Ports, 8 OUT ports
5. IAC bus: 1 IN port, 1 OUT port

All of these correctly show up in Audio MIDI Setup, but in MTP, it only shows these ports in MIDI IN menu:

none
Bus 1
Port 1
Port 2
Port 3
Port 4
Port 5
Port 6
Port 7
Port 8
Bome's Midi Translator 1 Virtual In

I assume there is currently only one "Port 1" and "Port 2" allowed at a time? This needs to be worked on. It would also be very helpful if it listed the midi device name as well like:

Keystation Pro 88: Port 1
Keystation Pro 88: Port 2
Radium 49: Port 1

etc.

Regards,
mm

Hi meeble,

thanks for the hint!

The names would be very helpful, your are right!

I checked the thing out with Audio MIDI Setup. Are you sure you have plugged in all these devices at runtime of Midi Translator? Audio MIDI Setup also remembers devices that are not connected.

Regards,
Rüdi

Rüdi,

Yes, I am sure that they are all plugged in and working. They just aren't showing up in MTP. They show up fine in Ableton and Logic.

thanks
