Hi!

Is it possible with MT or MT pro to change only one value in a sysex sequence?

(I would like to see the Automap Mixer Display of my novation remote sl zero on the left side, to use it with the encoders- to alter volumes directly without catching values)

The sl has 4 sysex sequences for the automap displays comming from Ableton Live. Left- up(1.sequence)/down(3.sequence) and Right- up(2.sequence)/down(4.sequence).

One is going like that:
(The arrows indicate the specific sequence 01 to 04, in this case the second sequence is shown). After the "04"- right of the arrow- indicated "02", there is the data, which is shown on the specific display.

F0 00 20 29 03 03 11 04 04 00 02 01 00 ->02<- 04 2D 32 2E 31 39 20 64 42 20 2D 33 2E 34 35 20 64 42 20 2D 38 2E 38 30 20 64 42 20 2D 36 2E 35 30 20 64 42 20 2D 35 2E 36 37 20 64 42 20 2D 35 2E 32 35 20 64 42 20 2D 33 2E 31 37 20 64 42 20 2D 36 2E 30 38 20 64 42 20 F7

I need to change the 02 to 01 (in this/the 2. sequence) and 04 to 03 (in the 4.sequence).

Is this possible?

Thanks

Hank

PS.: I know this all by using midiOX, great tool!!

By using the trial of MT pro, I canĀ“t get it to work. I think, because there are too many variables used:

Input:

F0 00 20 29 03 03 11 02 04 00 02 01 00 02 04 ga gb gc gd ge gf gg gh gi gj gk gl gm gn go gp gq gr gs gt gu gv gw gx gy gz g0 g1 g2 g3 g4 g5 g6 g7 g8 g9 ha hb hc hd he hf hg hh hi hj hk hl hm hn ho hp hq hr hs ht hu hv hw hx hy hz h0 h1 h2 h3 h4 h5 h6 h7 h8 h9 F7

Output:

F0 00 20 29 03 03 11 01 04 00 02 01 00 01 04 ga gb gc gd ge gf gg gh gi gj gk gl gm gn go gp gq gr gs gt gu gv gw gx gy gz g0 g1 g2 g3 g4 g5 g6 g7 g8 g9 ha hb hc hd he hf hg hh hi hj hk hl hm hn ho hp hq hr hs ht hu hv hw hx hy hz h0 h1 h2 h3 h4 h5 h6 h7 h8 h9 F7

It says "Unknown Action/Not Supported" on Input and Output.

Is there a way around?

edit: I found out, that there is a limitation to 30 variables. I used ga- gz and g0- g3. Adding only 30 variables works, but adding another one results in this "unknown action" thing. I would need at least 72 possible variables here.

Hi,

indeed, that's a bug. We used to have only approx. 30 variables, so a MIDI translation could only handle 30 variable in one MIDI string. We've fixed that for the next version.

(for owners of a license for MT Pro, you can get a fixed pre-release version immediately, if this is urgent for you).
