Failed install: corrupted files

I'm trying to install Midi Translator. I've tried both the Classic and the Pro version, with the same result both times: When the status bar gets about 3/8 of the way full, an error occurs. It gives the name of some file, and then says "The source file is corrupted." I am told to choose between retry, ignore, and fail. If I retry, same result; if I ignore, it says the same thing about another file.

What should I do?

[I'm running Vista Home Premium on an HP Pavillion 9000 series laptop. I know, XP is better; I can't turn back now.]

Hi,

this is serious! Which file exactly is it stopping installation? Can you compare the MD5 hashes here? Have you tried re-downloading?

I'll publish the MD5's on the download page, seems like a good idea!
