Two Instances of MT?

I'm curious if there's any reason not to run two instances of MT simultaneously. When I try to do this, I get the error "Another instance already uses watchdll.dll. Overriding it.". But after closing the error window, both MT's appear to be running.

You can use 2 instances with almost no problems: the error message just means that only one instance of MT will be able to receive keystrokes (when using the keystroke as Incoming action).

In fact, creating a copy of the file MidiTranslator.exe and renaming that copy will make that copy use its own set of settings. That's handy for keeping different setups in different instances.

Btw, maybe that was your problem with the lost setups?).

Thanks, I'll give that a try. I was having settings problems long before I tried the dual instance thing ;) Settings problems seem resolved for now.
cheers,
