Any issues with MT on a mac via Parallels?

Just wondering if anyone has any experience or wisdom regarding the usage of MT on an intel mac via Parallels (e.g., booting in Mac OS, running Ableton Live natively in Mac OS, but opening a few instances of MT in Parallels/Windows XP.)

Is this workable? Can you even route MIDI from Parallels to the native OS? If not, I suppose you could route it to hardware and then echo it back in again... Are there any other dangers to watch out for, like a significant performance hit due to the VM?

we haven't tried that yet, it's a good idea. It's unlikely that the MIDI ports are available in Parallels, but you never know...

If yes, then you can probably use the loopback idea (connect a physical cable from MIDI OUT to MIDI IN) to transfer MIDI from the VM to OSX.
