Hi there.
Before I throw my self in to this world, I'll have to know...

I have a masterkeyboard and a computer with vst instruments.

Can I use a "computer number pad", to change program, midichannel and other settings with MT, when I play live on stage?

If so, do I need moore programs then MT?

Thanks
Martini

Hi Martini,

yes, this is possible.

in MT, you can define translators that map a key on your computer keyboard (also the number pad area, or an external USB number pad) to MIDI messages (e.g. MIDI messages to change program).

You will need another program, i.e. a virtual MIDI port, e.g. LoopBE1, Maple, or Yoke. Then select such a virtual port as MIDI OUT in MT and select that MIDI port as MIDI IN in your VST program.

You will need the Pro edition of MT for that.

Florian

Hi.
Sounds great.
I can see that I can put a "keystroke" in "incoming",
but what can I put in outgoing?

Is it just hexadecimal numbers? Or can I write midi control numbers also?
Were can I find what to write here? Is there documented anywere, what e.g. CC#1 (modulation) is in hexadecimals?

Is there any midi messages for: Changing midi channel and transposing?

(sorry about this silly questions)
