Yamaha 02R to HUI

Hallo guys!

I've had success with making the 02R talk to Ableton Live, but it's quite restricted. I'd like to move to Logic Pro, and i'd like to know if I can make a translator to translate 02R fader moves into HUI for Logic?

I've tried already by sending back some raw MIDI to Logic (setup with a HUI) but nothing happens...

Damn...

If anyone has any ideas, or examples, i'd appreciate the nudge/help.

This entire project is HUI. You'd just need to change incoming and outgoing messages to match your data that's sent and received from the O2R.

My device settings for midi port I/O will make no difference to you. As you'll see I have a lot of presets. Look for "controller 1 to PT 1"...That will be the midi message (incoming) sent by my controllers (you need to change to your 02R output messages) to the outgoing to HUI.

The next preset you need to copy will be" PT to Controller", that's sending the messages back from HUI to your controller. You assign the I/O to your liking and needs.

Your best method here would be to make brand new 'presets' for yourself, and copy/paste what functions you want to that preset. Reassign the incoming and outgoing messages "from" your O2R and back to it; as I am certain your mixer doesn't send the same messages as mine do.

Sorry if this is confusing, I'm not the best at explaining things... If you need we can walk you through setup a little bit at a time.
