APC40 LED Feedback HELP

I am currently using an APC 40 and APC 40 mkII and I want to set up the buttons to all be a certain color (say red) when not activated and to have an activated button change to green when triggered.

I have been reading through the many forums, and I am sure I have read through the solution somewhere in that mix, but I am so confused and turned around I figured I would reach out for help here.

I don't know if it helps, however I am using the APC's as lighting controls with GrandMA2 PC.

There is a mega APC40 thread where we worked out all the steps for this already. The concepts carry through for the APC40MK2, but I haven't seen the control scheme for it, or know how it moves into "dumb mode" if it even needs to. But I would start with this thread for LED control.
