Hi,

Patches in roland guitar pedal are categorized under 3 banks (0,1,2)
It work fine with bank 1 (C0 outgoing midi message) and 2 (C1 outgoing midi message) but can't figure out how to choose bank 0 from bome.

Awaiting your reply,
Thanks

Hi,

Thanks jared, the pedal is called GR-55 by roland, and i am trying to change PC (approx 300 sound) through behringer fcb1010 (that don't send bank number) and bome by dividing the incoming message into bank (0,1 and 2) each bank 127 sound, C0 xx is letting me change patch above the first 127 sounds,
I need also to be able to choose patch below 127,

Link for the manual

Hi zaknbou

There is no such thing as a Program Change 0. C0 is Program Change 1, and can go up to CF for 16. Also, in the manual, on page 79 it says that patch changes occur between values 1 and 16 (0 and F). Where are you seeing that you need a program change 0?

Hi,
Thank you for ur reply jared,
I recorded a video about this issue (link below) , hope the quality is clear for the numbers.
I sent from ableton live PC messages to my roland pedal , first pc with bank 1, second pc with bank 2 and third pc with bank 3 , to change between 3 sets of 127 sounds,
Meanwhile in bone only i can change to the first set of 127 sound (till 43:2 on the roland gr-55) ,
The roland is composed of 99 level , each one has three voice ,
For ex If i want to choose the third sound on level 25 i need to send a pc (25x3=75) on bank 1, till pc 127 then i need to send the pc with bank 2 to choose sound from level 2
u need more details plz do tell me

What will be the solution be in bome to realize the same result as ableton live?

Please check video

Hi zaknbou

You can't send a C0 80 message, since MIDI caps out at 7F. If you send it on C1 00 or 01 what happens?

I haven't read/looked through the full thread, but have you considered BANK changes?
For example here:

that might be the solution i guess , please confirm me if i am right
to choose PC 34 in bank 1, i need to send the followng message
B0 00 01
B0 20 01
C0 22

but the question is where do i put this message , does it in the bome RULE field or no ?
Please advise

yes, I think so. just concatenate all of it into the Outgoing MIDI field:
Outgoing
MIDI
B0 00 01 B0 20 01 C0 22
