Cursor down not always working on the right app.

Hi

I need a bit of help please.

I'm using a Mac.

I am using this to send a cursor down press to logic audio. (To go down the tracks)
I send a midi event to the computer and it works just fine.

But, if the midi event is sent before logic loads it will do a cursor down on the desktop... Which is what you'd expect... It's just when logic has finally loaded and is the foremost application, it refuses to send the cursor down to logic and simply cursor's down on the desktop still.

What could I do to always ensure the cursor down does the active application at all times?

Hi Padams

I just want to make sure I have this problem understood, okay?

You load Bomes MIDI Translator
You press a MIDI command which moves the mouse a specified amount
You load Logic
You press that same MIDI command and the mouse moves

When it moves, do you lose focus of Logic? Is Logic full screen? Does the mouse click not select the track in Logic?

I just want to make sure I get what is going on so we can figure out how to fix it.

Hi Jared thanks for the reply.

I set a midi command to 'press' the down arrow on the qwerty.

If you use it on the Finder it works - going from one icon to the next.

Load logic and you would expect the same command to move down the tracks-as though you were pressing the down arrow, but it doesn't. It still acts on the Finder, even though Logic is in Focus.

However-if you do not try it on the Finder first, but simply boot your computer and then start logic-it does work on logic...

I need it to work on the focus'd application 100%...

I'm going to pass this up as a bug.
