Try before buying Noobie question

I'm trying to change the icons in the "PlaceBar" "save as" window in Win7 64Bit as programs like IconPacker don't seem to change this layer of icons.

Can I use the trial version to practice this task? Will I do lasting damage with simple icon changes to the C:\Windows\System32\shelldlg.dll or shell.dll, if in fact this is the resource to hack?

PS. I'm used to tweaking with MSStyle themes, explorer.exe etc whilst using the .OLD or .BAK backup method. Will this be enough for practicing with ICONS only changes?

Hi, the trial version will let you change all resources, but it'll add and change some other resources, too (because of it being the demo version).
So you should make sure to make a backup copy of all files saved with Restorator. By default, Restorator creates backup copies, too, so normally you're safe.
