i have written you a mail but dont get an answer yet so i hope anyone here can help me.

if you make a change inside a dll (e.g. translation into an other language) and watch the file inside a hex editor you will see watermarked the word "bom" many times.

why? i have used the trial so i dont know if it will be in the full too but i dont like these changes inside my files.

why bom do this? so i have to look for another application for my work.

Hi,

I did reply to your email, maybe it got lost in the SPAM filter?

here is my reply:

That's a feature: when modifying a resource, Restorator "tags" it in an unused resource field so that it can mark the resource as being modified: the next time you open the file with Restorator, you can see with the small arrow that the resource was changed. It does not affect the function of the file that was edited.

The full version allows you to turn of this feature: in Settings, Saving, uncheck "mark modified resources".

Hope this explains.

Regards,
Florian
