About Bome Software
Bome Software is a small team of professional software developers creating powerful applications since 1996. About Restorator
Restorator is the Bome flagship product and has been used for resource editing since 1997. It was originally released under the name Renovator. Renovator was used to modify instruments within ReBirth by Propellerhead Software. While the Renovator product line is still available, subsequent versions were released as the versatile resource editor Restorator.Continuous development based on user feedback made this application the leader in application customization software.
In 1998, Renovator was used to create the first Winamp
skins (named "Winamp mangled") by modifying
the application resources, initiating a
new application design movement. The trend to create
customized applications with a customized look and feel has
been growing since (under names such as themes, skins, faces).
Restorator is also the first choice for translation and localization by Fortune 500 companies and thousands of individuals.
