Some key combinations do not work

Hi,

I have Mouse Keyboard set up through Maple MIDI into Reason 4, and it works fine except for one thing: on some combinations of notes, I can't get a particular ntoe to sound.

For example (and this isn't necessarily the particular combination): I play and hold Eb-F-A, then go to play a D on top of that chord, but it won't sound until I've released one of the notes from the initial chord. This happens in a number of combinations.

I don't think it has to do with the number of notes, because that can vary.

Any ideas?

Hi,

unfortunately, this is a limitation of computer keyboards. Internally, they use a matrix to capture the keys. Usually, only 3 or 4 keys at once can be played. Sorry!

OK, thanks for the prompt reply. I guess I'll just set up two instruments, and use two voices instead of one.

just as a side note: there are gaming keyboards which are, apparently, able to produce more key combinations.
