Microkorg as midicontroller (assign all knobs and buttons) ?

Hi.

Was anyone smart enough to figure out how to assign all those buttns and knobs on the mikrokorg to control a DAW, or something like Reason ?

So far I can only seem to use the keys and pitch function on my microkorg.
The other buttons/knobs DO send out midi..the trick is getting them to work on a DAW. Seems like a task for MT but so far i'm not getting anywhere.

Advice or template anyone ?

the general approach is to
- look up which MIDI commands your DAW software reacts to
- use MT to create mappings from the knob/slider/button on the microkorg using MIDI capture, to the MIDI messages required by the DAW software

Now of course, most software nowadays allows MIDI learn which will be enough for some people. As soon as you want a more flexible mapping, or different sets of mappings, or gestures, etc., you won't get around Midi Translator
